SQUAD UP

Play BOLTFRAY with your friends

BOLTFRAY has two party modes: Play Together puts up to five friends on one team, and Custom Versus lets up to ten friends split into two teams for a private 5v5. Here is how it works during the closed beta.

What you need in the beta

A closed beta invitation, a free BOLTFRAY account linked to the game, and a player name. Guest play is not available online.

Practice first

Solo practice against bots runs locally on your device. Practising as a party is different: it starts a private match on a dedicated server, so it needs an online connection.

Clans

Clans are in development. Clan matches will only count when two real clans play a private, bot-free match on a dedicated server.

Get your group into a match

  1. Create a party

One player opens a party in the game. Play Together holds up to five players; Custom Versus holds up to ten, five per team.

  2. Invite friends

Invite friends from your in-game friends list, or share the party code.

  3. Pick together or versus

Play Together: your group of up to five on one team. Custom Versus: up to ten friends in two private 5v5 teams. Empty seats can be filled by bots.

  4. Play online

Queue as a group. Leaving a running match early can pause your matchmaking for a short time.
