More battlefield, less interface: the new mobile HUD

A focused look at the HUD changes being prepared for Boltfray 0.7.0, shaped by hands-on player feedback.

A fast match needs a screen you can read at a glance. Over the past few days, we have been refining Boltfray’s interface around that goal.

The next layout places your tank portrait and health in the top-left corner, with a smaller weapon row directly below. Both teams stay visible across the top: five portraits on each side, with your gold above the match timer between them. Death indicators and respawn countdowns help you see who can return to the fight. The minimap stays in the top-right corner.

We are reducing outer margins and decorative spacing while keeping controls clear of camera cutouts and system gestures. Items, skills and ping controls are grouped for frequent use; compact visuals still need reliable touch targets.

These changes are being prepared and checked for 0.7.0. The latest positioning adjustments are still in progress, and desktop captures do not replace testing on a real phone. The next test build will give players a chance to judge the result in actual matches.
